Cam in Bartyverse should check whether magically adding carbon on the fly is effective for defusing silver and iron. Though I guess it's not the sort of thing he needs to test in advance of when he needs it.

It's a good idea.

I hope Annie gets plants working. A typical adult understanding of color theory is not enough to guarantee that, and she seems to be considering the wrong path now (red, green, and blue being the primary colors is a fact about human eyes, not about light or plant leaves), but depending on how wide the spectrum of each individual light is and on the spectrum plants actually need it might still work.

What she really needs, and will probably think of if her earlier efforts fail, is to remember the existence of prisms. Then anybody else can see how much of the full spectrum is actually being generated.

Do plants even need full spectrum lights? I thought enough non-green light would work regardless of frequency, but I really know very little about actual plants.

Well for your regular green plants (red and purple ones are different), you need a lot of lower-energy "red" light to fuel the cycle, and a smaller amount of higher-energy "blue" light to activate it (really more like UV). My amateur understanding suggests that for any particular kind of plant, you can probably get away with just two well-chosen frequencies, one for each of these functions.

A few minutes of research indicates that if you talk to LED manufacturers then specific frequencies work just as well and use less power, but if you talk to other manufacturers then full spectrum is important. Wikipedia agrees that just a few frequencies are needed but that the details aren’t yet known and can vary by plant.

It seems like Annie’s thoughts of providing red, green, blue, and probably UV and kerid, would actually work even if she got there from an invalid generalization of human vision.

Ezra, the demons will all enjoy your idea.

Only the stabbing-god knows how many evil monsters.

I first tried to figure out which witch-goddess would be likeliest described as "stabbing-god". Yambe Akka for death, Kas-Petaal for masculinity, somebody for knife skills?

Then I realized it was probably a stabbing-god from the knife world, that made a lot more sense.

Then I figured out the interpretation that I now believe was intended, and was amused at my silly misunderstanding.

There's nothing stopping a summoner from just leaving me alone and not explicitly negotiating a task, like what is happening now.
Well, if he wanted to interpret Bella as having given him a task, she's left him enough openings.

It does not matter in this case because there are no bindings.

He might be able to prevent bella from unsummoning him by sneaking in a task/payment without her realizing what the payment is but he has no interest in actually doing that.
