I was getting to the end and I realized
Sadde's mother is still alive. Oh shit.
And a few pages later, yep.
It somehow feels even worse in this story. Sadde knows immortality is possible and they kept their mother until they were an adult. Well, it was a great story! Thanks for tugging on my heartstring. I'm really hoping their is a sequel.
Sparklesadde was made specifically to cross-over, sequels are whatever they end up doing with the Lost Key on a given continuity.

I am not a psychologist, there were other symptoms, etc.

That said, I think Sadde is putting too much weight on the “tired” evidence here. I skip things because I’m tired sometimes. This does not mean I’m depressed at all; it means I practice poor sleep hygiene.

It's not exactly that the tired is super evidence. It's the everything, Sadde was suspecting it all along, and then the sentence just- clicked? Tone of voice, body language, general behaviour, etc. Like, both Sadde and I genuinely didn't know he was actually depressed until that sentence and then we were both like, oh.

Also:

With Throne3d, on Sunnyverse we're tagging "sonntag" and on Cardcaptorverse "kertag"
With Aestrix, Cape is "mortag" and Cardcaptorverse "kertag"

Mortag's tag being mortag amuses me, because it makes me think of MOAR TAGS. It makes me happy. :)

Why does it not occur to King Antimoun or the human Prince that if they held the two weddings on the same day, they could marry off the younger prince while the elder is still married?

It doesn't occur to the King because he doesn't care enough to think about it that hard.

It doesn't occur to Taphinieu because he has an ingrained response of Not Questioning The King.

On the other hand, if they tried it, they don't know the lindworm wouldn't eat everyone in the palace or something. Sticking with the current formula does at least make the casualties predictable.

And presumably the Prince’s reason applies to anybody else who could influence the schedule.

On an unrelated note, I do not trust the doctors in Book of Experience that the condition is stable and noncritical.

The Sword, unbound, seems a lot less wild-animal and a lot more malicious than most of the cards so far. Maybe try talking to it before ever summoning it.

Also, The Shadow did a great job on its first time out. When he has a moment, Theo should tell it so.

Really? Why?

That's 'cause animals just do stuff they've been programmed to do to by evolution. The cards are embodiments of things/concepts; swords are meant for swordfighting, so that's what The Sword does.

On a somewhat related note, Throne and I rephrased a couple of things over the end of the battle and the hospital to make some things clearer; I'm still not 100% happy with the result but I think the reason why Sadde thinks Theo's acting weird might be a bit more obvious.
