Teah: "Yeah, well, I'll step off your housing and transportation systems, but you have got to let me do something about Downside."

the admin: "If you are so moved."

Teah: "Nice dust rule, by the way."

the admin: "Thank you."

~vast sweeping changes to Downside ensue, including Shell being swept off to a place of extreme coziness where Teah offers her all her memories of her life back~

Shell: *nod nod*

Teah: "There you go."

Shell: "Thank you."

Teah: *is vast and powerful and kinda ticked off* "Okay do you really need the world-destroying horrors crawling around on the exterior of the sky? Like, are you sentimentally attached to those?"

The Universe: *IS ITSELF*

Teah: "Didn't think so. So let's get rid of those. And look, I'm not saying you can't be squishy if you want to be squishy, but you are going to start being squishy in a less malevolent way." *implements a buffer layer between reality-substrate and material-universe-inhabited-by-residents that levels the playing field a little and makes things stop blowing up if people try to derive general principles from them*

Aether: *obliviously continues to read her science fantasy novel*

Teah: *tidies up a few things, then appears Aether a small and colourfully decorated cake* "Hi! I'm a weird god from another plane! You accidentally prayed to me just now, so I fixed up your universe a little."

Aether: ".........." *abruptly terrified*

Teah: "Aw, sorry. Look, I am, like, a seriously different kind of god than you're used to. Just... wait a little while and pay attention to the news and you'll see what I mean. Don't worry about me in the meantime. I'm nice, I promise, but you don't have to take my word for it."

Aether: "……………." *looks at cake suspiciously*

Teah: "I will not be offended if you throw it out because the only examples of gods you have are all terrible people who would do bad things to cake."

Aether: *nods slowly, puts cake outside for birds and squirrels*

Cake: *is harmless to the local wildlife*

I don't have much to say about Teah and smol Tony, and Teah and Strat would just turn into Teah vs the admin again.

Teah: "Like thirty seconds ago. I mean, since way longer ago than that, but thirty seconds ago is when I arrived in this universe."

Pat: "…I see. No I don't. Do go on."

Teah: "I have the power to do... pretty much anything as long as I think it's relevant to something somebody wished for in a way that was vaguely-maybe-directed-at-me enough for me to grab onto it. So I do that. A lot of that. And then I figured out how to duplicate myself and send the copies to random universes, so I'm doing that too, because most places I've heard of so far could really use some granted prayers."

Pat: "I see. …I definitely can't convince you on the ruling the world thing?"

Teah: "I mean, you seem like you'd probably be less bad at ruling the world than most people who want to, but 'pretty much anything' definitely does not include 'convince the population of a planet that this one girl is definitely their rightful sovereign', because that would be horrible? If you have, like, a plan for taking over the world, and it involves me granting a bunch of individual prayers that would be a good idea to grant anyway, you've got it. Otherwise, I mean, you'd have to be pretty convincing to get me to take time away from granting prayers to help you figure out how to take over the world with a prayer-granting god."

Pattern: "Right. Well. When I'm less convinced this is a weird dream I will figure out how to take over the world with a prayer-granting god. In the meantime you know what fuck cancer."

Teah: "Fuck cancer! Have some more fudge."

Pat: *eats fudge*

I assume that when talking to an Esmaarlan human or elf, Adelaide would use the nickname “Adel” instead of “Addy” for pronounceability. Then again, they don’t seem to have trouble with names like “Keo” and “Kaylo”, so maybe I’m wrong.
