Thanks for the data! Will wait until you have the other sandboxes up to think about trendlines, since that should at least double the numbers for the months you have now and also allow us to go back longer than last June.

It would also be nice to have the dump of author/character comments sortable by number of comments as well as alphabetically, if you don't mind (though that's trivial to do in Excel/Google Sheets as well).

Sandbox data!

There will be duplicates, though, between the sandbox data and the glowfic data, since some posts appear in both.

And, uh, it'd probably be a lot easier to do it in Google Sheets. If I do it in the script, it'll have to have an added toggle somewhere, probably on the command line, which will make the structure kinda funny. If you just want another dump with it in a different structure, I don't think pastebin lets you have many pastes on a free account, and I think I'm reaching the limit.

I'm putting stuff into a Google Sheets thing right now, and I'll just sort it by post count for you. Here it is.

I also added some graphs from what Google suggested through the "Explore" thingy. A few histograms, which is interesting, because I think they're sort of acting as probability things (i.e. "people tend to have [x] posts"). I'd better go now, but feel free to change things around. If anyone requests more data, I'll add it tomorrow.

I'm currently updating the sandbox epub with the new "Demon Cam in Cloudbank" entry added.

I've also made a slight change to how comment headers are displaying (in the CSS). Instead of just giving it a specific shade to put as the background colour – one that was slightly lighter than the ones in the official list, since the colours seemed a bit solid when they're backgrounds like that – I've made it try to use slightly transparent background colours, instead. This means that if you place your device in night mode and it doesn't just ignore this CSS (I think iBooks ignores background colours when it's in night mode, for example), it should actually display nicely, rather than being horribly glare-y because it's designed for lighter backgrounds. Most colours are at 30% opacity, but the greyscale ones are at 70% to make it more obvious which is which. Hopefully this will result in less distortion with the colours, and the old hard-adjusted colours are still available for if your device doesn't support the new one ("rgba" in a "background-color" property).

(On Calibre, with a user style sheet of: "body { background-color: #000; color: #aaa; }" for dark mode)

Ooo.

Not sure this'll quite work for me - I use a dark brown background, not a black one - but it's at least more likely to. :D

Well, it seems to work okay after a quick look - here's what it looks like with a background colour of "#2e1a10". It probably alters the colours a bit, but it's not that noticeable, I don't think.
