Most species humans use for farming and such are imported, but a fair amount of life is native, incl. floatgrass, squid, jellywings.

The ways to get a ship are: Buy a used ship, commission a shipbuilder to make one for you, or build it yourself/with hired help.

Nick has been adult for a decent while, and he counts on not seeing his original family again for at least a long time.

They're an idea I've been turning around in my head off and on for a while. When I remembered them, of course they were a great thing to throw at fairyland.

yeah, they come off as convenient, but not outright "they are made to solve the fairyland problem".

What does floatgrass looks like? Do you plan to get a personal account for Nick at some point?

Dandelion crossed with bamboo. No, this IS Nick's account - if I make a new character they'll get a new account.

Then do you plan to get an account for yourself at some point, at least here? If you ever get more characters it will be weird to have the Alicornutopia account being the same as the in-character Nick account.
