I want to learn how this whole "Glowfic" buisness works and give it a try. I'd be up for any setting (though I have preferences) as long as I get somebody who can explain what's necessary about the setting if I don't know it, and who is good at helping a noobie figure this buisness out.

You probably want to start with sandboxes, or with the MWF.

You'll need your own character to play as; this can be an existing character that nobody else is playing (i.e. from some work of fiction) or your own original one, and they can be from a world from an existing work of fiction or a world of your own creation. (If you start with the MWF, it's a good idea to go with a world nobody else is using, that way you don't have to coordinate with someone else for worldbuilding.)

Is that what everyone does? I just want to check that first.

It's what most people do, I think.

If you are still interested, you should post the worlds that you are interested RPing.

It's a bit obsolete now as I've agreed to a Sandbox experiment with Aestrix. But my point at this point was that I was willing to try out any world just in order to learn to do this stuff competently. There are some I am more or less interested in, but intending a tryout was different I figured.

For some reason it is often easier to attract interest to do something specific than to do anything.

Okay, maybe I'll try that. Things I'm interested in, updated:

-Experimenting with my Yori idea (still haven't sandboxed her yet, so this would be more if somebody is curious. Aesterix has agreed to one anyway, so hopefully I'm not stepping on toes by trying one.)

-Puella Magi Madoka Magica setting
-Death Note setting
-Romance of the Three Kingdoms (in the very unlikely event somebody agrees to try it) setting, settle for Dynasty Warriors (which is similiar enough) if necessary
-Luminosity/Radiance setting post-Radiance (if something decent can be done)
-Disagea game settings (technically the Nippon Ichi setting, but those in particular). I don't know the plot of 5 yet, which could be a problem.
-Composing original settings specifically for convienient glowfic characters (have some ideas, lucky if they fit)
-Tend to like Rationalist versions of settings in general

Also, I like the idea of trying to create an interesting core premise and work off it. For reasons probably unique to myself I like the idea of rejected Imprint/Matebond by human (not likely much to anyone else I admit), or deliberately creating some sort of plot 'What If'.

Since I'm stretching as far as possible on purpose: If I wanted to turn my brain completely off, maybe DBZ. Stories which play around with the implicit ideas in Shonen stories rather than playing them straight (I wrote a character, Camera, who is basically a villain out of fillial piety. Wouldn't make much sense outside of this kind of world). Can't think of others, might later.

General rule of idea generation: "Restrictions breed creativity". I think it's easier to work out the possible configurations of a limited set of degrees of freedom and evaluate which ones are interesting than to pick something out of an enormous unbounded set.

That is quite true, I am quite proud of some things I managed to create for a friend's setting where the one rule was "everything has to be a shameless copy of something".

On the other hand it was a nightmare working with someone that didnt believe in creativity

Anyway.

Someone is free to RP? >.>
