He was upset, but I had faith that in time, these feelings would fade, and he would realize that I was only looking out for his best interests.

Besides, it’s not like this could permanently kill the fairy; I knew dissolving a fairy only put it out of commission for a few decades.

I figured that by the time the fairy was schedule to come alive again, the tiger would be old and docile.

And perhaps, in the time of the fairy's slow regeneration, it would become less of a delinquent.

(Good one, after it was assumed getting a tiger was the bad advice).
The person who gave it to me had said, “The plan is foolproof; there is nothing the fairy can do about it”.

Which was wrong, of course, as the fairy proved with its charming tiger based charisma, lockpicking lessons, and then finally the device that sealed my fate.
