It would probably too rare for Alicorn-Kappa to want it, but they could:
a)Have backgrounds/stories that already too similar to existing Bells, such that a thread could be too boring, yet they would still have an appeal for peal-purposes
a.1)They could be like Pattern, including or not the "death by van".
b)They could be found early by the Bells-and-company, and the thread/story is mostly about how the pealing happens in an unusual way.
c)Someone decides to instantiate a Bell by magic, maybe for the obvious belling benefits or to call the Peal attention.
There is also the not exactly "without threads" possibilities, where we have "for want of a nail" scenarios where we take part of a existing Pealed Bell story and change something, assuming that everything was identical until the divergent point.

I did have a thought. We already know that Adarin's teleporting is somewhat limited -- when he is summoned to elcenia he realises it would take him several lifetimes to get home. So if you wanted to have a non-connectd-at-all-to-effulgence-ever peal, you could just have all of the adarin worlds be close enough to each other that adarin can build portals between them. perhaps adarin will meet another adarin-and-his-bell while on a quest to find something else and then it will occur to them to scry for more adarins and bells. they won't find the ones in effulgence because they're too far away for adarin to reach, even with multiple hops.
I think that's our plan for Pealing Alicorn-Aestrix worlds, actually. Unless we think of something better, which we always might. Planes doing weird things basically gives us license to timeskip sometimes - Cham's Adarin hasn't actually found out yet, but planes shift and move on their own. This doesn't destroy existing portals or mirror connections, but it does sometimes make it more difficult to make future portals. Honestly he's not as experienced of an extra planar traveler as he thinks he is.
As to Pealing without threads, if we get to Pealing there will be an Adarin that is without a Bell, and probably without a thread to call his very own. He will be upset because he doesn't have a Bell, in a very passive aggressive, sort of bitter kind of way. Cham's Adarin he would be annoyed with, Darren he will have nothing in common with but otherwise will get along okay with him, and Edarial will get immunity to bitter passive aggressiveness on account of how he met his Bell and how that worked out. It's mostly just Cham's Adarin that would piss him off.

Pattern was totally pealed without any threads, but we wouldn't usually want to do that. We were going to peal Tab as a dead six-year-old without having threaded her doing anything but decided it was more interesting to grow her up in the way we did.

I was always a bit confused by the outcome of that; what ended up happening with the Chelsa-immune girl who wasn't Tab? Did she turn out to just be an immunity-Gifted person without particularly unique features? Has she been ressurected? Did Aelise try to do the Tab thing with her and fail?

Since I never named her it was open to retcon her as being someone else. I have decided that she was a particularly extreme sort of sociopath (regular sociopaths interact pretty normally with Chelsa; the cold girl was not regular). She has not been resurrected. We have not specified what Aelise did about her, but the fact that Chelsa knew what it felt like to be around her suggests that Aelise may not have had the chance to do anything.

Oh, she sounded like a Gift or something.
I honestly don't see any room for the girl long term survival after Chelsa felt the cold, but I don't think that Chelsa did anything herself, likely a brainwashed mob took care of it... for the beloved Chelsa
man, Gift gets creepier and creepier by the minute.
Do you have any plans to returns to something similar to Tab original idea?

It's not impossible that eventually we'll want to peal a very young Bell or another dead Bell, but whether they'll combine or when it would happen I don't know.

What about a very old Bell? I think it would be interesting to have a Bell who succeeded in Belling to the extent she was able within her world, but could not solve the mortality problem with her resources, and is near death when the peal finds her.

You know, now I am sort wishing for the bell from cosel to go through her suicide-by-elemental plan, or at least be saved while about to enact it, specially because the other bells reactions would be interesting to watch.
