Glowfic platform

Okay, so, after some discussion in the Sandbox discussions thread, it has been properly realised that this thing has no name (and the lack is being somewhat felt)! Marri's decided that suggestions would be good.

Personally, I think it'd be good to have something in a similar theme to the current names for glowfic, but possibly one that makes it somehow distinct. I quite like "Iridescent" (I don't think that's been used yet), or maybe some variation on that, in part because it sounds nice, in part because it still fits with the theme, and in part because of its definition (from Google: "showing luminous colours that seem to change when seen from different angles"). So, it's sort of miscellaneous glowing light (sorta...).

Any other suggestions? Voting, maybe? I don't know.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure the current domain is a temporary thing. I really feel like I heard something definitive about it being temporary, maybe on the to-do list, but I can't find it there now, nor can I see it in the to-do list's history, so I have no clue where I got that idea.

(Partly because the space of possible glowfic names is kinda small and should be reserved for actual glowfics as much as possible; partly because it might be confusingly ambiguous.)

"Glowficsite" has a certain charm for its sheer practical obvious straightforwardness, but might be kind of generic. Maybe "the glowfic ____", fill in the blank with some sort of traditionally light-emitting or otherwise light-related object? The glowfic bulb? No, that's terrible. Help me out here.

Yeah, I get the reasoning behind that; I was sort of hoping "Iridescent" would be different enough, but I'm not too sure it is. Oh well, it was the best suggestion I had! :P

Uh... prism? Aurora? Spark? Blaze? ... Refulgence? I'm not sure any of those really fit after "The glowfic...", but they might sound okay for something? (I'm looking at a few words here and here)

Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. Something that suggests light, but a collection of light in some way, would probably be a good idea?

I like lighthouse, but spark is nice too, and it'd give an excuse to put a 7 pointed star as the icon?
(That should be done regardless of name, it is light related and a nice visual joke)

I like Glowfic Constellation. It implies there are multiple things that are glowing, not just one as in Lighthouse.

It also implies that all the glowing is Incandescence, but no name is perfect.

I feel like the "tags owed" page would be way more useful to me if 4/5 of the threads there weren't from Site Testing, but I'm not sure how to get around that. Maybe have it divided up by continuity somehow...?
