Things:
- The age of a dragon matters to what happens if you Bond to them. Ansharil and Ancaladar are both really, really, really freaking old; Cortiana's pretty old too; the rest of the initial dragon population as of Sarion's birth is approximately between 500-2000. Milan is stupidly young for a dragon and has never Bonded before, which also matters.
- Ansharil and Aianon have spent ten thousand years 100% in each other's heads. As such, Bonding to Ansharil is like taking a flying leap into their combined brain. This is not normal.
- There is some degree to which a normal Dragonbond, especially one to a very old dragon, can feel oversharey and intrusive. You're not actually sharing literally every thought, but depending on your temperament, just the part about everyone involved being really easily able to figure out what you're doing when you do magic might feel like a little much; and sometimes they can also really easily figure out what you mean when you say and do things, even when you might not necessarily have chosen to share that information.
- When your dragon is Super Freaking Old, and isn't Ansharil, they can often read you much, much better than you can read them. Most Dragonbond Mages are fine with this because they are culturally inclined to accept it as normal and they ~love their Bonded~, so it would be hard for Sarion to get information from Dragonbond Mages about this whole thing that didn't sound super worrying to her.
- Also, Ancaladar, as Super Freaking Old Dragon, is the most oversharey available option besides Ansharil, and he is also the ~oldest and wisest~ and the one whose description of a Dragonbond might most easily reach an outsider, and he thinks it's perfectly natural to get a little oversharey with your Bondmate and doesn't see what all the fuss is about, especially since one of his first few Bonded (Harrier Gillain, from the second trilogy) complained near-constantly about how intrusive it felt at first and then got used to it and didn't mind.
- It's possible that I haven't been perfectly consistent in my interpretation of canon, but I try to leave myself enough leeway for it all to make sense together.

I thought the rule was that if there's a quantity of a thing then a Bonded magic user gets unlimited amounts of the thing. What's the number attached to for wixen magic, amount of soul for infinite Horcruxes?

Potential spellpower. But that was also a fairly early decision that might be revisited.

Does the Bond-boost also increases things that aren't only magical, like Kyma get a lifeforce boost too?

If the Bond increased things that weren't magical then it would have come up when the mutant telepath got one.

I think kamai lifeforce is not wholly magical but is partly magical, and I believe kyma do get the boost. They still have a fuel which their magic consumes.
