"You are really good at that. You are really, really good at that. Should I be worried, Pride is listed as a deadly sin for a reason, and you are giving off more pride than a coffeeshop full of bohemians on Poetry Slam Night."
Emily. Emily, no, that is not how you make the pride go down.

The irresponsible-with-vast-powers kids in http://timepoof.dreamwidth.org/430.html are annoying me. She seriously just gave away coins to someone she's barely met.

Sorry to hear you aren't enjoying it. Amy just isn't one for thinking things through, and on top of that, she's only just got the coins, she hasn't had time to think about the implications of wishes.
Flora alone wouldn't have done the things, but Amy's attitude being contagious mixed with curiosity about new magics kind of put caution on the back seat.
Now that Leekath pointed it out, they will be more cautious. They'll still want to try new magics though.

Milan: I'm going to try a thing with Thil magic without consulting a unicorn!
Me: oh shit

When you think about it, Mileses would need their very own unicorn.

I am very impressed at how differently Promise and Kithabel's encounters with the Wormverse seem to be turning out. Especially given that they have the same personalities, at least to a first approximation, so it's entirely down to different powersets.

They are the same template, but have almost completely opposite life trajectories. Not to mention a good helping of simurgh influence on Kythabel's part.

Saravasse: Consult a unicorn.
Me: Oh thank God.

The Simurgh is not responsible for Kithabel's behavior.

Woo!

Does that mean the Simurgh has currently had no effect on Kithabel, or just that it wasn't anything major if she did have something? (I mean, I'm not sure why the Simurgh hasn't tried to affect Kithabel some more... Purely for reasons of what you do and don't want to write about, or...?)
