Yeah, I have already gone into that thread and changed alias to "..." where she didn't have a name yet, but now she is "..." where she doesn't have a name (correct!) and "Kadiran Serani" where her name is Kadiran Idain (incorrect!).

I was referring to <div id="character-selector"> that appears when you click the thingy next to the username in the reply box. Because it is a thing that is overlaid on top of the regular page layout and currently has no border of any sort. (Background colors used routinely don't count.)

And that was meant as a concrete suggestion for Throne's dissatisfaction, not something I particularly care about. If I cared I would say it would make more sense if the button was on the character name, and if instead of making a popup what it did was turn the existing character name field into a <select>. (Though I dunno how the aliases thing works once you have some and whether that would interfere.)

I have joined the 21st century and now have a phone that can access wifi when I'm at home! The little green arrow for clicking to the next unread thing is pretty small and it usually takes me a few tries to hit it. That's okay, but if the first page of a thread had a text link like "jump to first unread" that would make it easier.

Hmm, I think it would help it feel more like a solid object but it would still feel – jumpy or something. It doesn't feel like it's going to stay in one place, because the screen keeps scrolling around it… a lot.

"Jump to first unread" sounds like a good idea.

@Kappa I will fix the thing! But not now, because Job. Also FYI you will not see the Alias dropdown as an option on the new character unless they, y'know, have aliases. Also now that I'm thinking about it I think I also have a bug, but if I'm right it will just complain at you, not actually update things wrong?

@Shoal "our mobile layout is a mess" is a constant theme :/ issue here which actually calls out the unread button thing specifically.

However for some reason it has caused the gallery edit page to stop displaying the icons in the usual alphabetical order. (The gallery page itself is fine.)
