The problem with that idea is that if the mafia never kill and there is a cop in the game, eventually the town knows exactly who to lynch. There is usually a cop. Thus, the impetus lies on the mafia to give the game inevitability.DanielH wrote:@tau,modrony From my readings on Mafia strategy, there is a potential flaw in your plan of “lynch iff odd” for vanilla Mafia. The Mafia have a No Kill option, and they can also see that killing isn’t actually in their best interests. Then, nobody ever dies.
It's less that I'm falling victim to the Illusion of Transparency, and more that I know what I've said about myself is vague. I'm not expecting anyone to know exactly who I am at this point. I'm also bad at roleplaying, I just feel an impulse to say something based on my identity sometimes.DanielH wrote:There’s also the role Thatwasademo is trying to roleplay as, which may or may not be his actual role. Unfortunately, I think he’s falling prey to the Illusion of Transparency or I’m just being really dense, because I can’t figure out what the claimed role actually is. My best guess is “maybe Carrina”.
