Nope, I knew this, but thanks anyway. I was asking about where the butterfly discussion came from in the first place, but apparently I skipped the post by Nemo and thus was confused. I am still confused about who is Contessa and who is Cauldron.

Cauldron is a group. They basically do whatever Contessa says, but Contessa doesn't want that responsibility so the Doctor is in charge of telling her what to ask her power for.

It is! The comment about colocation of faces was a bit of a giveaway, but it absolutely is an Arcane.

He might sneak onscreen if there is something for him to do at a moment when kappa is available, but his role is basically Reassuring Promise That Not Everyone Is Terrible.

I think Promise should seriously consider just locating her face near Arcane's face but I understand that it might not be the best of times

She should definitely not do just locating, given that she is Arcane’s master (either direct or at one remove). That kind of power dynamic requires more communication, and the communication to be more explicit, than in most situations.

Have they considered the possibility that Scion’s planet and the passengers’ planet might be the same? Might they be depowering all capes in an uncontrolled manner if the Scion plan succeeds? I don’t know if that will happen, but it seems worth considering.

That seems like the sort of thing that Contessa would be able to tell.
