Another possible third-siahr feature request is mate bonds. I expect Mial et al. could devise a better version than any yet seen, but I also predict they'd rather just shoot down that entire line of investigation.

What would be the in-universe motivation to propose them in the first place?

Idr how much info has made it in from Peal-land. The motivation would be if somebody's heard of Aurum beings and thought they sounded cool.
