We've been told that holing Valinor did not destroy the Valar/Maiar, just time-dilated them by such a large amount that they couldn't take any new actions on any reasonable timescale relative to Endore. Why, then, did the Doom/ban on summoning go away when they were holed? I can certainly come up with explanations for this but am curious if the authors have a particular one in mind.

I don't particularly but I guess it requires maintenance sort of like how Beleriand crumbles when Morgoth dies.

I'd assumed that the surviving Vala chose to reverse those things.

That seems unlikely. The surviving Vala would agree with the others that summoning should not be allowed and that the Noldor should be Doomed.
Which is in itself a good indication that those things should not have been done. Melkor is the kind of cartoonish evil where you really can just take his actions, do the opposite, and be relatively good.

In Paper Bag Princess, somehow they prevented the sinking of Beleriand? How reminiscent should I expect their modern geography to be of ours?
Did they also skip all that Númenor business? Their world got rounded somehow...

I think Melkor would allowed summoning in order to hasten Hell finding out that they can make minds. I have no explanation for the Doom.

Valar are invested in Valinor the same way Melkor's invested in Beleriand; destroying it would break most of their large-scale permanent world-affecting things.

Am I the only one who finds the natural plurals of Arda, Fëanáro, Maitimo, etc. to be Ardar, Fëanáror, Maitimor, etc.?

-r strikes me as more of a collective noun thing than a plural noun thing, but in some circumstances yes.

Is that the only productive plural in Quenya, or are there multiple declensions? How about in Sthindarin?
