@Aestrix Yeah in hindsight it was really silly of us not to go through all of your posts for hints once we knew who you were, but hopefully if almost everyone has really clearly labeled lists with hidden information they will pay more attention to things they should pay attention to. I imagine watching that town failure as a ghost must have been exasperating.
@Alphabeta I think that that doesn't necessarily make it a bad idea, though.

I mean, I'm not particularly upset about people missing information I tried to say, but I wanted to point out that you were sort of implying that I didn't and should have, when I did.

Oh no I'm sorry that was not my intention.
I was just trying to point out that in that scenario the lists would have been helpful, and more helpful to the town than the killers, and especially useful to any of your allies who knew your identity even before you died, so similar schemes top to the list aren't necessarily a bad idea.

Woah, I caught up, that was slightly less hard than I expected.

I think the list thing is a good idea on balance but I'm a little worried about a really interesting sounding power speculation going viral until everyone's assuming it's factual, as sometimes happens in book series fandom. We should try to avoid that.

("going viral" = the same power for the same character showing up in everyone's list because it just makes so much sense darn it)

Okay, I've got a name written down. I'll vote for it when I catch up to the game tomorrow morning.

I also have a name written down. I am reasonably suspicious of this person and I will almost certainly vote for them, but I am open to last-minute arguments.

me too, I expect most of the revealing will happen while I'm asleep. The day ends in about 21 hours, so that's evening for me and morning for a lot of you I think? If we leave it too close to the deadline then we won't get to hear from the people who have the most votes before we vote for them which would be bad. If we do have someone with kuu's powers from last time, we want them to be able to see the thread and get a message to the mods AND we want people to check in with the thread before the day's over to see if they need to change their votes. and we have people playing from all over the world.

So I think the reveal should start no later than 12 hours before the end of the gameday (and preferably earlier) and that people should check at least once between voting and the end of the game day to make sure their vote is still where they want it.

it's probably only a 1 in 19 chance that the most votes will be on someone who has kuu's exact power from last game (if there is any such person) but we'll all feel really silly if we go through all this trouble, the mods confirm somebody, and they get lynched anyway because everyone voted and then went to sleep.

I have a list of all the players in this game with notes on how suspicious I am of them and why,* and there is a person on the list who currently has more suspicion than anyone else. I will consider that person my written-down person, so I can now participate in the reveal when we do it.

*I made a spreadsheet. I am fond of spreadsheets.

That sounds a lot less painful than rereading the thread once it's 50+ pages long and you want to remember why you have a gut feeling about [person].

I have a desktop wiki (zim is the name of the program if anyone else wants one) but I haven't written much yet there about this game. I should. Instead what I did was I sorted the game by author and went through that way and then wrote the name.
