How do seasons work on Elcenia? The
date/time page says that there are solstices and equinoxes, so it seems like the length of the day varies. Is the day after Pehahel-for the longest day of the year for all of Elcenia, or is it the shortest day of the year on half of the square (the equivalent of June 21st in the southern hemisphere on Earth)? If the former, does that mean that the length of a particular day is the same everywhere on the square, or is there some notion of latitude so that days get longer during the summer as you go farther north?
(I'm asking this because I was going to whimsically post in the mafia thread that we knew where the Town was located by the fact that it had 3:2 day:night lengths, but then I got confused. It also occurs to me in retrospect that you could easily have given deadlines in whole numbers of Elcenian days rather than Earth days. I'm *very* glad you didn't do this!)

Because the planet is a square and only the "top" is inhabited, it's all one time zone and all one calendar/season correspondence. The sun orbits the southern part of the square and it is warmer there. (It is also drier in the west, but for unrelated landmass-related reasons. Elcenians sometimes divide the square into a grid of nine approximate climates.) The sun's orbit distance and how much of its arc is spent above rather than below the planet both fluctuate, and account for changes in day length and the seasons.

How does co-casting interact with the “one wizard can only have one instance of a given spell active at a time” rule?

Counts for both of the casters until it's reversed or broken.

Would a random summoning spell of the type seen in Summons and the sandboxen be able to target a fallingstar (fairy) who was holding somebody else? What would happen with a targeted summoning spell on either the fallingstar or the captive, or if the random one did manage to target either of them?
Obviously the wizardry would win if it came down to a strict power battle, but I’m imagining there might be safeties that would prevent either or both from being targets, or that the fallingstar’s power would bring whichever wasn’t targeted along for the ride, or something.

Depending on spell design, it might fail to summon anyone, or simply pick a different target. The specific one Korulen and Saasnil use is not defined in this parameter.

If two Elcenias interact (via Milliways, for example), what do the different Draconics do about the word “elcenia”? Or would you just decide never to do that?

I'd probably decide never to do that, but not for this reason; Draconic would reshuffle itself (possibly tonally) in a prompt fashion.

For that matter, how Elcenia transworld summoning works with the concept of universes with alts?
