Elcenia Mafia Game Thread

Not the kind with cardstock and pawns. Mostly play by post Mafia so far.

To clarify, MTC, by my plan you are referring to the listposts? I agree that we should all be doing listposts if at all possible.

So, we're voting based on our intuitive suspicions now?

RNG is the second worst we can possibly do (no lynch is the worst). Intuitive suspicions are more likely[1] to be accurate, and this method of voting will generate lots of discussion once we reveal our suspicions.

[1] only a little more likely on day 1, but as time goes on they'll get more and more accurate.

Alright, I'll vote Kappa, then, since he's the one who suggested the random voting first and I also don't like her list scheme.

I think the idea is that we write down our suspicions privately without openly voting for them until a bunch of people have written something down, to avoid influencing each other's opinions. But surely this is an innocent mistake on your part.

@Alphabeta: I'm not sure why you don't like the list scheme, could you explain in more detail?
I don't think it should be mandatory to avoid being killed because that would be unfair to people who aren't as familiar with Elcenia, but I think it's probably better to know what sort of powers other townies might have.
Or, for example, in the last game Aestrix might not have been able to fully describe her powers because they were weird and unexpected, but she might have been acme to at least say something like "maybe Libby would know the true names of all the mafia because of her connections as Moriarty" and then later made a post speculating that the most murderous seeming templates were the joker, chainsaw, and Steven. Or if Michaelblume had speculated in a similar list that the Chris wouldn't be able to protect anyone but the Libby, so if Aestrix only knew Chris's identify and nothing more, Aestrix would have known that she would be reliably protected and had s better idea of what her one certain ally could do.

I... Did do those things last game. Not quite as you described them, but I definitely did. No one paid any attention to it xD

Mostly because I am lazy. However, recall that the scum were uninformed about pretty much everything last game as well.
