Fits her to a tee. Maybe the acolyte gift is like a "spider sense"?

His acolytes would have something incredibly useful, but not very good for combat purposes - eidetic memory seems to be the only applicable thing coming to mind right now.
Huh, this does fit his
personality better, I was picturing something more compatible to his baseline aspirations... Either grasslands plains or something heavily featuring freshwater (many rivers or lakes)... Where boats can travel safely and cities/trade prosper.
Instead of Eidetic Memory... Maybe something good to survive for long times in contemplation? Low need for food? Protection against harsh weather? Or maybe something like great sense of direction or wall-walking?

Why Cypress has a Kagu for Daemon?

I could see an Adarin giving out an acolyte power that was protective in some subtle fashion, but they don't tend to be flashy people unless they deem it extremely necessary for something they want/need.
Cypress got a kagu because it exhibits several things that are interestingly specific to an Adarin of that age group from Kystle: somewhat rare, specific to someplace that it's properly suited for, but threatened by outside forces of some kind. Kagu are very suited for the place they're in, but, from an outside perspective: what's more useless than a bird that can't fly? Or, to put it into Kystle terms, what's more useless than a quarter-fey mage who doesn't sire any children?
Also, the similarity in color between feathers and hair amused me and I liked it.

Cool.
I was re-reading and Cypress mentioned something in the spirit that he liked to be gentlemanly to Ice.
And got me thinking, how gender social espectations affect Adarins in general?
Like how different would Cypress/Adarins treat a male!Ice/Bells? or if they are both female?

Adarins in general like the idea of treating their SO extremely well. For a male!Adarin and female!Bell pair, this translates to 'generally be a gentleman,' but the concept behind it is still present in other situations. We just haven't had much chance to display those situations, since Bells show up as mainly female and Adarins show up as mainly male. xD

Suddenly I hanker for an onscreen* boybell/boyadarin pairing. XD
*I mean more onscreen than the ones that exist in those flashbacks.

A likely way for that to happen is if I settle on a good altrace boybell PB and want to take it for a spin.

this makes me picture the bells facecasts carrying you around in their shoulders, it is amusing.
I also asked about the "Adarin Gentlemanlyness" because I was curious how it would translate in situations with, say, Mr.Lizard Pants. I guess general helpfulness applies
And, I would like to see boybell and boyadarin pair too.

Any particular reason Lecasryn and Kit-kat (ha, great name) are both female despite their Zevs differing?

No particular reason, I just didn't want to go with a stereotype of all Zevs having same-sex daemons. They are very, very attached to being homosexual, but that doesn't guarantee their daemon's sex. If I get the chance to give another Zev a daemon, it'll probably be a male critter. <3

If Reverie-style auras were introduced to the world of Incandescence, what sorts of aura types would Adarins, Zevianas, Lynns, and Idanias get?
