When using the search feature:

When I click the title (Turns and Turnings) it takes me to the top of the post, and when I click the hard link button it takes me to https://glowfic.com/replies/reply_number rather than https://glowfic.com/replies/reply_numbe ... ply_number. I think both links should take to the latter link.

I fixed the second one to have the link anchor, though I'm not yet sure how I feel about clicking the post name to take you to a reply permalink. I also fixed term highlighting and did a VERY basic exact match (it only works with " quotes not ').

Edit: Also merged a bunch of Throne's old PRs, including:
- an improvement to the hack we're using to adjust for Firefox's "helpful" thing where it reloads with the values you had in the form, but no one bothered to tell the server
- adds ordering to the tags page, although it's not actually published anywhere for a reason, it's mostly for my sanity
- some proper html label tags in the user account page

Having the post name show up several different times and all links take you to the same place, and that place having nothing to do with what you're searching for, seems horribly counterintuitive to me, especially since to access the search feature in the same place you already did need to be in the actual post and reaching the post's toplevel is much easier from any given reply than vice-versa.

I had changed my domain NS records to match my parent nameserver's NS records, and the change seems to have applied (I did it a couple days ago but it can take 48 hours to apply). Are people still seeing bad certificates?

I have reported all my bad certificates.

Request: Show unread/finished/unopened status in search results, continuity pages, and other such places. Alternatively, have a convenient toggle for "browse without affecting unread state". (I want to be able to poke around to e.g. find "that one thread with the thing" without mucking up my reading progress too much.)

Request: Ability to search for "threads having both author X and author Y".

Not a request as I have the feeling I'm missing something: since reading progress is tracked only per-thread, how am I expected to learn of a newly-existing thread in some continuity I am reading (within the Constellation, not using forum reports and such)? If I look at "Recently Updated" or my unread-and-unopened list, say, I also see lots of threads in continuities I'm not currently reading (but might in the future so therefore don't want to just read.

I think you favorite a continuity, for the last one?

…and then I go separately check Favorites for its unread counts? Okay, but that means that I have to take an extra action to continue reading across a thread boundary, and check another page regularly. Or does doing that also put new threads in that continuity into the unread-opened view?

Also, the opposite-of-favoriting, in a sense, is "hide continuity from unread", but the controls for that are in totally separate places from favoriting (the former on the unread page only, the latter on the continuity page only).

(By the way, I hope my comments are useful and interpreted as I intend — that I am trying to write down everything that comes to mind to capture my 'new user experience' — not “it is not perfect and therefore terrible”.)

(I think it's useful that you mentioned that – sometimes it sounds like people are not intending to be helpful, or at least not mostly to be helpful, when they criticize.)

I don't think favorited threads are automatically placed into the 'opened' view of unread posts.

I'm personally not sure that we've thought too hard about the current interface, since it's been growing as people point out that there's something missing, and don't think I had a part in this particular bit of it. I think Marri has complained about having to design the site before :P and appreciates feedback on this, especially when people suggest alternative ways the thing could display to make it neater / more intuitive / less cluttered.

ALL OF THIS.
