DNS entries stay in the system for a few times the length of their TTL because intermediary caches don’t reduce that TTL. That is, if AwesomeWebsite.com specifies a TTL of one hour, the DNS server I use will look that up when somebody goes to AwesomeWebsite.com. Then, 59 minutes later, I go to AwesomeWebsite.com and the DNS server I use says “Ah, yes, I have this cached. They’re at 1.2.3.4 and have a one-hour TTL”. This has the obvious problems. Maybe this is a bug in the server I checked but if so I think it’s a common one.
The ALIAS pseudo-record might magnify the issue, but it depends on implementation and configuration details beyond your control. Heroku should be able to handle that, though.

Thanks, I pinged the Heroku ticket again letting them know.

There's something funny in the Bluebell Flames continuity. Every post but the first has no Next Post button, and its Previous Post button links to the first post.

I think they were imported into the Constellation in the wrong order, but continuities without subcontinuities still can't be ordered, so Pedro 'fixed' the ordering (previously) by manually trying to set the updated at date? (I seem to vaguely recall this being the case, though I don't know if it actually is.)

Cell data, no www, certificate for *.aws.bluefinlab.com
which is really weird because Heroku is not the same thing as Amazon Web Services, though I guess they may resell them. It’s also possible Bluefin has a misleading subdomain.
Also why these two places only and why is Lexile so much more common?

No idea. PointDNS formally handed this off to Heroku, they're looking into it, I'm posting comments on the ticket whenever you guys leave reports, their support team probably hates me xD DEAL WITH IT YOU'RE SENDING MY USERS TO THE WRONG SITE
Edit: I think continuities that are open to anyone can't be ordered, but I'd have to look.
