On the other hand, I finding it vaguely hilarious the idea of the main moiety authors getting a really ellaborate heraldy symbol.

I like Bluelantern’s suggestion better too.

If we wanted it to be easy to do to text, then we could go with bold, underlining, italics, and font choices; that would be impossible to justify in-world, though.

Glass: Ooh, a new moiety. We’ve found that everybody is divided into groups. The two which were previously known are green and purple. What do you want to call yours?
New Moiety Person: Um, how about underlined.

Presumably the same conversation continued:

Glass: People prefer picking colors-
New Moiety Person: *hits on the table* Underlined! Underlined! Underlined!

I like the sensory idea.
There's probably a lot of sound words that might work (though it'd be hard to see at a glance).

Even if we figure this out though, it's still difficult to find old stuff.

Really old stuff is in individual author's index's.
Alicorn's stuff is easy to find.
After a while you can find stuff on the quick update page, but that's hard to dig through.
Some stuff is in the glowfic dream width group.
Now you can find stuff under New Thread.

So, if we start being consistent with the New Thread threat and start using Marri's site, new stuff should be easy to find.
But the old stuff is still confusing.
I'm not sure what the solution to this is.
Making a single index would be a lot of work.
Any thoughts?

At some point, somebody should make a bunch of posts to the glowfic community that link to Dreamwidth sandboxes not on the glowfic community and are tagged with the appropriate organization tags, and then the glowfic community will just be a comprehensive sandbox index. But that would be work and no one has volunteered.

I was sort of assuming I'd import Dreamwidth things to the glowfic site. But links work too! And are like. Way less work for me :P so probably a good stopgap.

Importing to glowficsite would be cool too! But the glowfic community is right there already in its final form and people could totally go and post links to things upon it without, yes, requiring Marri in particular to do a bunch of work.

You're doing so much already Marri! You don't need to take on another project.

I'd be happy to work on adding old glowfic.
I can dig through mini-notifications. Are there any glowfic that were completed before the mini-notification thread?
I might try to do one master post try to arrange it by date, or a post for each user.
This won't happen right away, but I can try to work on it in my spare time.
It'll be a great way to find some interesting stories!

Maybe Marri, if you're already planning on adding user profiles, we can go back and add links to all our old glowfics ourselves to prevent you having to import them all?

All of mine can be found here. I'd really like to be able to put that somewhere on a personal profile part of the glowfic site or something, a way to index them and stuff.

Importing them all to the new site would be great I think, but with a crawler, not manually, especially if we plan to also import Effulgence and Incandescence and all :P
