Thank you. I knew I should be able to figure out what torture world was but somehow never did.

I assume that even with cardinal directions talk a world can have arbitrarily many neighbors? What do the directions mean?

Things can have arbitrarily many neighbors, although as it happens the current maximum number of *separately interesting, mapped* neighbors is five (each daeva world has five) (as contrasted with "Materia accessories" and Edda's branch that just says "stuff"). The directions are meaningless except insofar as they correspond to how I'm laying things out on my map. But I like them.

I find myself really wanting to see Portalbold with an evil!Maitimo.

I am so very very tempted to have the Just a Dream instance find grimdarda while looking for other worlds to get magic from, except that there seems to be no way at all that that doesn't end with her Maedhros breaking.

I'm not sure what would happen with an elf-naive Portalbold in grimdarda; I suspect the Maitimo ends up figuring her out quick enough to steer her away from his Findekano. We could try it and see, once one of my current threads wraps.

In Silmaril, I find it weird that people say there are two Earths in the known multiverse. There are six: Revelation, Aurum, Midgard, and the three Flat Ardas are embryonic Earths. I get that they don't realise the flat Ardas count (although they should; the continents match and everything), but shouldn't Loki and her eidetic memory recognize Midgard as Earth?

I am actually thinking I will just not-an-Earth Silmaril's Midgard. It's not like I committed to it having Earth continents or anything. We also haven't established that in Silmaril Ardas are embryonic Earths.

Maitimo speculates that he might not come in Not Royalty, although whatever's high-status might substitute. It makes me wonder if he comes in, like, Vor or Haut.
