What about a Jenny Calendar/Janna Kalderash?

You mean that as in "there is another person who does" or "Jenny is open, I just don't care enough"?

I mean that I like Jenny Calendar in canon, but I don't think I could play her, and I am not enthusiastic enough about her to go looking for somebody else who could. I think she had a good thing going with Giles, but I don't think it was the kind of thing that leads to strong cross-attraction between templates.

Common symptoms of being a video game character include:
- Death is conspicuously temporary.
- Killing bad guys lets you become more powerful. (Feathers)
- You are, or will become, significantly more powerful than most or all other people.
- You are fast-tracked to saving, or possibly conquering, the world.
- You have exactly one plausible love interest, who you meet early on in your path to power and with whom you wind up Happily Ever After. Serious relationship difficulties along the way are optional. Once the two of you meet, a feeling of indifference between the two of you is extremely unlikely.
- Gaining power/resources can be gradual, sudden, or a combination, but losing power/resources is either temporary (mana, scrolls) or sudden (kidnapping, botched resurrection). You will not experience a long slow decay/depletion.

she's crying about fire, ash, devastation, the menace lurking under the ground, and Bella hopes that's an overreaction to some TV show.

It seems like they are maybe the disaster relief organization just from context, but I'm not sure.
