I like PGB as glow and PGB with white glow more than the current favicon. Probably white glow slightly ahead.

Also, login sessions are distinct on vast-journey.herokuapp.*, glowfic.*, and www.glowfic.*. I suggest that all URLs redirect to either www.glowfic. or the plain glowfic. so that this stops being an issue.

It would also be possible to make cookies that work for both www.glowfic.com and glowfic.com, but redirection if the right solution. I think now that the DNS change propogated there should be no issue with redirecting everything to glowfic.com.

I'd like a way to contain continuity proliferation without foregoing the option to link up threads that are together. Maybe have "small continuities" be a category that opens a new menu and only the large continuities appear in dropdowns if you don't pick it?

"Small continuities" would be good. Subcontinuities in Sandboxes might work-ish for the purpose but I feel like they would be a pain from the author perspective.

Why do you think they'd be a pain?

The main problem I see with subcontinuities in Sandboxes is a distant future where people don't need to be invited/have the ALLHAILTHECOIN password to create an account and a griefer shows up and fucks things up. In fact, I also see that as the main problem with anyone being able to join a thread that's not in a locked-author continuity.

A "Multi-Thread Plots" board where there are author-locked subcontinuities could be useful, though.

(And also from a coding perspective it feels Unaesthetic for there to be Continuities and Subcontinuities rather than just Continuities that can have other continuities as its parents and infinite nesting be possible.)

The pain I foresee with subcontinuities in Sandboxes is that while the top-level continuity list has a sort order determined by the code, the order of subcontinuities within a continuity is determined by that continuity's authors, which in Sandboxes is "everyone". You don't need a griefer to have an edit war; you just need a minimum of two people with the same edit privileges and different opinions.

Of course, when I look at it, it turns out that I can't edit the order of posts in Sandboxes... but I can't create subcontinuities in Sandboxes either. And it occurs to me that having the Sandboxes subcontinuities intermingled with the one-off sandbox threads might end up being really unaesthetic and inconvenient.

Anyway I'm probably super incoherent right now because I did not sleep well at all.

Minor requests of the day:

- why is the default location for new posts site testing. aaaaaaa. can it be sandboxes, for the benefit of those of us who do stuff like "forget to set the location of our new post."

- template descriptions are fantastic! could they show up on the characters page please? it would make it easier to browse other people's characters and remind yourself of who they are.

- also re: template descriptions being fantastic: cooouuld we maybe have the same thing implemented for individual characters? if it's not too much work? I would totally use it as a note-to-self system about, like, "wait how old is this instance" and "is that his real name or a pseudonym" and so forth :P

Request: That the next/previous/first/last pages thing, and maybe numbers, too, be at the top of the pages as well as the bottom.

I assume you don't mean on posts? Do you mean on lists of posts, like "Recently updated"?
