Tales of MU is loosely D&D inspired, and I fell back on D&D stuff as filler where I couldn't remember or didn't think there existed MUniverse canon.

No fandom in particular, but if there is ever a (Christian, especially Catholic) religiously themed Effulgence setting (aside from Samaria), it should totally have the main characters be called Bell, Book, and Candle.

Well, we're doing Narnia, but it doesn't afford this naming scheme :P

Yeah, I think the theme would have to be religious in a different sort of way from how Narnia, or Samaria, or even Alethia is, anyway. I'm not entirely sure what sort of situation it would need to fit properly. Probably some sort of magical theocratic society insulating people from demons or something, where excommunication would actually be a thematically Big Deal.

On another note, you guys haven't played much with time travel in Effulgence, but should you ever decide to, I suggest a Chrono Trigger fic in which either Magus is a Joker or Schala is a Joker and Magus is a Steven, and Lucca is a Tony, and hmmm, maybe there's a Robo-equivalent who's a Sherlock? and obviously Crono is the Bell. Not sure who Frog or Ayla or Marle would be, though.

Hahahah, I was referring to the template which Nathaniel and Voice represent instances of, which is called "Stevens" on the spreadsheet due to their relation to the Alice Cooper song. But a Steven Magnet Magus is a hilarious idea and the Mystics would have been a much more fashionable bunch if that were to have happened.

I think star wars bella would be sith. Jedi are all about abandoning desires and being content with their lot.
I still think Dungeon Keeper Ami is awesome world for a Bell.
