Truth speak speak truth nourishment truth alethiometer craft meaning play

"truth speak speak truth" as a way to express Elspeth's ability to feed harpies was the alethiometer making a pun for fun. I think.

Not quite!

Bread is not nourishment. None of the suns refer to the alethiometer. Candle isn't *quite* meaning (but close) and dolphin isn't *quite* play (but close).

Truth speak speak truth sacrifice truth truth [strike]spam eggs spam spam spam[/strike] craft understanding joy

If Elspeth had gone with to feed the harpies, they would have more easily understand the value of eating happier truth than they can extract by force? And the alethiometer was trying to say "no shit you should bring Elspeth," by phrasing it in such a way that draws attention to her Elspethness and its relevance to the situation?

truth speak speak truth Jesus truth truth craft understanding ressurection

Elspeth could have gotten the christians who stayed in the afterlife to realize the true nature of the Authority's ego trip?

truth speak speak truth food truth truth craft understanding water

Both truth and someone comprehending the truth are necessary for harpies, like humans need both food and water?

I keep getting readings that are barely related!

If it helps, this is how they separate, without telling you any meanings you haven't already guessed:

Truth speak speak truth [bread] truth; truth craft understanding [dolphin].

Very close! And I'm proud that you guessed 'simplicity', because it indicates I was right to use that symbol for that meaning! XD

"Truth craft" is a reference-by-phrase-to-single-referent in much the same way as "truth speak".
