Yeah, the chat history is stored (unless you tell it not to) and can be scrolled up through. It's also searchable through your gmail search.

cool. Well, I hope lots of dead and undead[1] players show up and that you enjoy yourself tremendously at our expense. :)
[1] By this I mean the ones that are not living either.

I am Iron Man
This being a power is hilarious to me. It being actually useful beyond what everyone can do, doubly so.

i found a thing.
http://quicktopic.com/
it's for creating private threads. off site, but so are the other solutions.
I am not suggesting that anything already established be moved because that sounds like an annoying hassle
I think the thing would be useful for future games, though.

And speaking of things that might be useful for future games, I am working on something that should improve the process of writing something at one time and revealing it at a later time. I’m not sure how to make it trustworthy, though (you shouldn’t trust that something created by one of the players is good, but this kind of thing only kinda-exists now and not in a usable way for our purposes). I’m currently trying to write it in as easy-to-read a way as possible so that other people who know much about cryptography can read it and verify it’s good, but reading code is always harder than writing it so this is still an imperfect solution.

We might just forbid crypto in the future. It doesn't seem to add much in terms of fun and it's very complicated.

i am coming to believe that any game in which the best strategy is mass role-claiming on day 1, even if the mass role-claim is cryptoed, is a broken game. i think good game moderators include game elements that will punish towns that employ this strategy. I think that Alicorn is a good moderator.
