I'm not entirely sure. I mean, I know that I mean something with multiple colours arranged in some sort of way, instead of the thing right now with a single colour. But I don't know how the details would work exactly.

Do the colors really even matter? I gather they were meant for the time when there were like 3 glowficcers.

They were indeed meant for the time when there were like 3 glowficcers. They don't exactly matter but they're nice to have as a point of reference for when characters notice that they come in easily separable groups.

I think it helps with some people's continuity names? Otherwise is mostly aesthetic and for when characters become aware of their moieties.

It also helps to have adjective and demonyms: white twins, assorted purples, etc. Saying “Maggie’s twins” or “assorted Kappa pups” is more effort.

To add to the confusion I now have two significant sets of twins.
