Yeah, that is the point of Max, but I didn’t connect that with requiring Revelation to fail. I thought that, if nobody was credited with the secret just “falling apart”, it might not have done so that quickly and the Max-specific change might be normal.

I think it’s a good idea to not have Max summon a future-AU Cam. Cat moments work better when there isn’t anything the usual magic can’t explain. “That’s impossible!” “Yes it is!” is less interesting than “That’s impossible!” “I do it every Tuesday.”

Wait a minute… can demons not produce antimatter? That wouldn’t make a safe disposal method (because it would cause collateral damage), but I’d think that would make black holes evaporate faster, so Cam wouldn’t need to plan to move his house higher. I might have the physics wrong, though.

oooh, I remember thinking about this, but wanted to ask somewhere else.

I am not entirely sure, but if the result of a matter-antimatter explosion still have mass wouldn't it collapse again?

But I’m pretty sure they don’t; I know conservation of mass is a simplification. I think that matter-antimatter anihilation releases all the energy in the form of (massless) gamma rays, which is obviously a bad idea when humans are around but relatively harmless in Hell.

That's a good idea and obvious enough that I'm going to say demons can't do antimatter.

I suppose they could still create antimatter generators, but I don't know much about the process and sounds likely that it isn't worth the trouble... anyway, it is not like Demons are underpowered the way they are.

Are there any relationships between fairy and human governments?

Not formally, no.

I asked Google: turns out antimatter + black hole = bigger black hole. Notionally it might react with some matter in the hole to release gamma rays, but those can't escape the event horizon (gamma rays only move at the speed of light, and the event horizon of a black hole is defined to be the point where the speed of light is too slow to escape), so it all stays inside the black hole. Though, yeah, demons don't exactly need it to produce stupid amounts of energy output.

Antimatter would still be a good way to get rid of things that were not, themselves, black holes, so I'm sticking with no antimatter, although that's interesting.

It seems like the gamma rays would still be damaging to the demons' stuff: wreck your home, fry your electronics, slightly annoy your neighbors, significantly annoy your neighbors by wrecking their homes and frying their electronics, kill your pet exceptionally-stupid-fish, etc.

edit: Demons can take stuff back to Hell with them when they get unsummoned, right? Might it be possible to pay a demon with a pet cat?
