Huh, you’re right about it being the door out of a coffee shop. I now have the urge to reread the beginning of that scene for descriptions of the shop.

If narrating the door would be awkward in some way, the door will not appear there.

I don't think they describe it very well. I think it was in an airport? Anyway, the way I picture it.

I am curious what you see through the glass when you open the door, I like to think that you still see the regular side through the glass, but the door's open space shows you regular milliways.

The characters didn't think of buying laser pointers from Bar. And possibly Bar would refuse to sell them due to them planning to use them as weapons.
