Liz has a range limit. Valar die in various visions of Isabella's where they get too close.

Also Maira wanted to pretend they only wanted her to kill Mandos. She probably could have gotten cooperation without that though.

I thought of this when reading Watch Your Step and am reminded when reading old Art Of The Trade (where I think of the Doom every other reply):

If I had to pick a non-Melkor Vala to kill and were not allowed to research them more, or probably if I were, it would definitely be Mandos. All the rest of the Ainur together can surely come up with she reembodiment method even if no extrauniversal magic could.

Yeah, I have no tears for Mandos's own sake separate from her ability to keep Melkor in chains.

Given what Maira offered Isabella, she obviously doesn’t know her all that well, or something else is going on*. If that’s the case, though, Maitimë should be able to tell the difference between Isabella-for-real and Maira-as-Isabella, at least with eidetic memory so she has all the true interactions. So my question is why can’t Maitimë tell the difference, or why did Maira want Isabella to think she didn’t understand her, and which of those branches is it?

* That clause belongs at the end of every sentence including Maira or her alts, of course.

http://alicorn.elcenia.com/board/viewto ... 110#p28852 I think this is probably just "sauron is an obligate creeper"?

Yeah Sauron was fucking with Isabella and picked a reasonably upsetting thing to say
She might've tried negotiating if there were a way to get anywhere, but uh

Watch your step is breaking my heart into tiny pieces and then stomping on the pieces. Why does this one hurt so much more than the other Doomed Maitimo "recoveries"?
