*tries to roll around on the piles of words, awkwardly+
Hum, maybe if I actually read it?
Could a aberrant mark show up in someone that isnt a member of the "oficial" races but is somehow related?

Well, as in Eberron as elsewhere, Humans Can Fuck Everything. So yes, probably.

What happens when humans fuck everything? I mean, uh... *waves hands vaguely* I don't think I have a clear picture of the the kinds of people in this world and their characteristics, although perhaps this has been explained already and I'm just forgetting.

I think DnD traditional answer is that the union of two races results in children that belong to the mom's race, except in the cases of half-elf and half-orcs.

Children can be of either race by stats, but will probably be similar to both in appearance. Half-elves and half-orcs have a dedicated separate set of stats just because they're common. (Half-giants are also a thing, but those stats are weird and specific to one setting because all their giants are psychic for reasons I don't know.) There's one race in a splatbooks that is 'mongrelfolk'; they're what happens when the descendants of Humans Fucking Everything get ostracized and become an isolated breeding population; they have a little elf blood, a little goblin blood, a little dwarf blood, etc.

Note, though, that in Eberron half-elves are explicitly a "race" of their own, in that the children of half-elves are also half-elves, and there is even sort of a unique half-elf culture, as you'll see when I talk about Medani and (especially) Lyrandar.

One of the rules of Eberron is that PCs Are Special: they can always break the rules, especially when it turns to background. You can play a *warforged* with an aberrant mark if you want! Just be aware that this *will* mark you as unusual to an even greater extent than having an aberrant mark by itself already does.

Wait, that’s specific to Eberron? I thought PCs Are Special was true in pretty much all places where PCs are a relevant concept.
Also, I have not been participating in this thread much recently and will probably continue that over the next week. My school has a break starting at the end of next week; all my professors want me to have a real break so they assign everything to be due right before that.

And I haven't participated much at all, sorry.

I am back! I am too jetlagged to post anything substantial right now and I expect to spend all my free time tomorrow playing the last episode of Life is Strange, but expect posting to resume after that!
