At first, when Mark stunned Linya, I thought that it was to avoid her taking him to somewhere that would need to scan his bones, as well as emotional reaction to the contact.

In Lorica's intro, what's the exact point at which her trigger event happens? With her power protecting her from the typical blackout (I assume so, at least, since even if she forgot the visions she'd notice the downtime), it's hard to tell.
