How afraid they are of dying pre-pealing.

Paper usage, pre-pealing (e.g., I imagine Amariah doesn’t use as much paper as the others because she does her processing verbally)

Ooh, more spectruming.

Fear of death (a blend of actual emotional fear reaction, effort to avoid, and salience), most to least, with the top being like "this could definitely happen, and even worse things than just me being dead would result" and the bottom being like "yeah I'm not planning on doing that thing":

Butterfly
Shell Bell
Cam
Phaetonbell, Phix
Tab
[middle of the pack]
Glass, Katydid
Juliet
Chi
Sarion
Angela, Eve
Loki
Sylvi-and-company
Kithabel
Golden
Amariah/Ice
Rose, Rapunzel
Promise

(Note: Etty's in the middle of the pack via ambivalence rather than indifference. She'd be higher by sheer salience of death to a vaguely medieval tech level'd Bell had she not been presented with a more viscerally horrifying non-death default outcome. Butterfly's similar. I mean, she's up top, but she'd be up top by a wider margin if there were not a horrifying non-death possibility.)

Paper usage, most to least, omitting Golden because she goes from middle of the pack to perfect memory pre-pealing, and omitting Promise because it varies so heavily with time of life:

Loki
Sylvi-and-company
[middle of the pack]
Ace
[cipher-using Bells]
Ice/Amariah
[Bells with economic paper scarcity constraints]
Shell Bell
Eve and Cam (on a technicality)
Aya/Spring
[Bells who notebook on computers]

Interesting, I would've expected Juliet to place higher on the fear-of-death scale since Slayers have such a consistently low life expectancy.

They also get a deathwish. She didn't remove it all. (It would have paralyzed her to stick with a standard Bell fear of death and mere Slayer-level powerset.)

That makes sense!

I'm also interested in why Tab - who had actual immortality within her grasp at least in theory, as long as Aelise kept renewing her and Kers kept protecting her - ranks higher than standard on death-fear. Consequences?

Consequences and discomfort with the means of immortality (Harley was not permanently available and Chelsa wasn't snipping her).

It looks like Sarion’s position on each list is pre-Bond; am I correct in thinking she would go down on both lists post-Bond?

I'm guessing that Angela and Eve are lower than average for the same reason--empirically supported religious experiences leading them to have strong expectations of an afterlife?
