Re: Sandbox Discussions
It wouldn't click, but he knows that names work sometimes and doesn't know that food works sometimes, plus distress reaction, so it seemed reasonable to me and I didn't correct him.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
I think it makes sense given the stress of the moment, especially considering that she might not be able to come up with a fake name that quickly.
And then later he came up with a way that should at least theoretically keep their names safe from anybody who can’t issue orders. Anybody who could order one of them around would be more than able to get both of their names anyway.
--------------------------------
On an unrelated note, am I correct that Ka are not related to the Tree of Life in the same way that Takkarash are related to the Tree of Knowledge? Ka are supposed to be crystalline, but I suppose the fruit could be relatively crystalline.

You may safely assume, however, that they are related to something at least as mythical.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
Sylvi seemed to go very quickly from thinking that the AI could be dangerous if it had even the smallest bug, to thinking it was perfectly safe. As far as I can tell, this happened when she was told it couldn’t move, but she persisted in thinking it was safe even after Glen suggested letting it move. Her only other evidence on the issue has been a) it not behaving like a golem treats a master, b) Glen and Alex telling her that the Organization says AIs can be dangerous, and c) the Organization being corrupted.
I feel I’m missing something. A corrupted Organization could very easily still be telling the truth about AI, and she seems to have thought it dangerous until she found it couldn’t move (and then thought it safe even after the suggestion that it could be made to move). What changed her mind, exactly?

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Sylvi is trying to use golem heuristics for the AI but acknowledges that they aren't really working. Golems in general can always move; they are safe if you make them right and may be dangerous if you don't; she's concerned about giving the AI mobility but it doesn't seem to exhibit a desire to wreck shit; and she assumes Glen knows more about it than she does, even if she's being naive or something.

I don't understand this sentence. What are "the haws"?"I like them best if I get the dew off my tree, because then it tastes a little like the haws, but it's not a strong flavor."

Haws are hawthorn berries, which her tree produces.

Apropos of nothing, Steel and Promise winning at magic is pretty great.

Well it's not as broken as coins, but it's closer to broken than a lot of other things.
