I was thinking a *weakly* magic one - sufficient that the Bell likes her/allies with her/befriends her but not sufficient to like, allow the Chelsea complete social or emotional control over the Bell? Maybe the Chelsea is more strongly magical towards other people and the Bell is partially but not fully immune, or maybe the Chelsea just doesn't have much power in the first place. I was basically envisioning the minimum possible warping necessary for a Bell to be sympathetic to a Chelsea to the point of wanting to *keep* her. Maybe that's not possible while still having the Bell be otherwise a Bell? I was definitely imagining that the Bell would be able to tell which parts of her were Chelsea influenced once she had access to other Bells and other Chelseas to look at, and that this would have ramifications for her relationship with her Chelsea.

@Tamien your thoughts about hypothetical Bell/Chelsea relationships are remarkably similar to mine. Same wavelength, high five!

It's possible to get Bells very firmly attached to other people, but this depends so exquisitely delicately on specifics that I can't answer the question without writing a dozen stories.

@Alicorn, makes sense! If the stars are ever in alignment for the specifics to happen, I will be excited, but if not, ah well.

You could cheat the attachment with different magic, like necklace or Aurum bonds. But she might not like that any more than the other.

Both necklacing and Twivamping vets too much for underlying personality compatibility. Something similar which didn't could do the job but it'd be yet another set of details to work through.

Wolf imprinting might vet less, for example.
